Start with the right date and region
The updated forum date is October 21, while older search results can still show October 19. Europe’s scheduled UTC start is four hours before the other listed regions. The time tool keeps region selection separate from display timezone.
About these answers
We prioritize official announcements and link them below. The updated official forum date takes priority over older news and cached search results. This guide is not a report of personal gameplay testing.

When is the WoW Forever stress test?
The updated Blizzard forum post says October 21. Europe starts at 19:00 CEST (17:00 UTC); Americas and Oceania at 14:00 PDT (21:00 UTC); Taipei at October 22, 05:00; Korea at October 22, 06:00.
Do I need an active subscription or Game Time?
No for this public stress test. Blizzard says a WoW account is sufficient. Normal play after the November launch has separate subscription or Game Time requirements.
Do I need a beta invitation or a paid pack?
No invitation or beta access is required for this stress test. Paid-product benefits such as beta access and early name reservation are separate.
Where do I download the test?
Use the official Battle.net desktop app. Select World of Warcraft, then Game Version → In Development → World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test, and choose Install.
Why do I still see October 19 in a search result?
The older Blizzard news announcement and cached results can retain October 19. The updated official forum post changes the test to October 21. Check the date-change guide and its source links.
How long will the test run?
Blizzard describes a few hours and allows a shorter or longer window as needed. A precise end hour is not confirmed, so we do not publish an exact ending countdown.
Will my character or name carry over?
Stress-test characters, names and guilds are wiped. A name made in the test is not a launch reservation. The separate early name-reservation period has its own eligibility.
Is there a participation reward?
A special stress-test participation reward was not confirmed in the official sources checked for this guide. Do not assume a reward from a third-party claim.
Does zero on the countdown mean the server is online?
No. It means the scheduled regional start has passed according to your device clock. Current availability must be checked in the client and official announcements.
Can this website inspect or fix my account?
No. This is an independent information site. It never needs your Battle.net password, and its time conversion runs in your browser. Use Blizzard Support for account issues.
