Use the official desktop app

Blizzard provides Battle.net for Windows and Mac through its desktop-app download page. That is the installer link used here. We do not mirror executable files or package a third-party launcher.

An app download is not an account invitation. The stress test is open to WoW accounts without subscription, Game Time or beta access, while separate beta and launch access follow their own rules.

Select the correct game version

In Battle.net, choose World of Warcraft. Open the Game Version dropdown above Play, scroll to In Development, and select World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test. Choose Install and follow the client’s prompts.

Do not assume a retail installation or an existing Forever Beta entry means the stress-test build is ready. Read the selected entry and install/update button before your region opens.

Storage and connection planning

The client’s current installation screen is the source for download size, required space and destination choices. We have not independently verified a fixed size or a download-speed requirement, so this page does not invent an estimate.

If a download stops, check the client’s displayed error, your internet connection, free space and whether an update is paused. Update the Battle.net app before interpreting a missing version as an eligibility problem.

Hardware and safe troubleshooting

Update the graphics driver as Blizzard requests. Its official GPU article describes architecture compatibility, but compatible architecture alone is not a promise of acceptable performance or compliance with every minimum requirement. Use the full official system requirements for your machine.

Do not run unofficial repair executables or enter account details into a guide site. If the client provides a specific error code, preserve it and use Blizzard Support. The not-working guide helps distinguish version selection, timing, installation and account issues.
